Oman & Dubai, two worlds apart.
Hillat al Sharaf, somewhere in the Jebel Akhdar
There’s a small village down the road.
At the end of the road, at the edge of the cliff, Alila Jebel Akhdar.
The irrigation system.
Srab, an abandoned village in the mountains.
From here it takes quite a long walk to reach the nearest convenience store, under a hammering sun.
…But the view is breathtaking.
The trees here definitely need bodyguards.
The silence is deafening.
Juniper trees are indeed very tough.
One of the mosques at Saih Katenah.
Muscat. 4 o’clock, 44 degrees on the empty Corniche.
A coffee shop with powerful loudspeakers.
Muscat is a well-guarded place.
Somewhere near the Intercontinental.
Burkat al Muj simmering in a very hot day.
Sahibi Salem.
On the road.
Behind a curtain of heat, the sea.
Burj Khalifa. Welcome to Dubai.
The Dubai Mall is the biggest in the world. People get lost in it. (Or is it rather because they don’t want to get out?)
Old Dubai.
Shiite mosque in old Dubai, opening on the souk.
